If I use textfree on my ipod touch, will my cell phone get billed for those texts?

no, sending messages doesnt cost anything, receiving does so the person you send the message to will be charged

if textfree means what I think it means, then no.

no the software use a wifi based portal where as a phone service has to connect the text to the host. the phone service is kind of like a middle man.
