I was just out trout fishing the other day with some friends, and I forgot to bring my stringer to keep my fish on. So my buddy let me put my fish on his stringer (which had individual clips for each fish, so I could keep mine separate from his.)
We both have trout stamps, so we could each legally catch 5 trout. But some of the other fishermen we talked to said, that if a ranger or conservation officer caught us, then we could be ticketed for catching too many fish or something along those lines.
I wanted to know if we really can be ticketed for using the same stringer, and if anyone knows if there is a specific law that states that each person has to have their own containment for fish.
