I'm on a 3 year phone contract and want to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S..?

... and I was wondering how much it would cost to go from my current 3 year contract (which I'm a little over one year into) and get the new iPhone 4S. I'm with Telus, if that matters.
Would it just be a better idea to buy it without a contract at all and just use the SIM card from my iPhone 4? A new 16GB iPhone 4S is 649.
 
You'll have to play a termination fee? And that's probably like 500 or alittle higher
 
Yeah i don't know, but 3 year contract... holy crap. I have a 10 month contract, new phone every 10 months, its great :)
