actions.? I'm a clean cut student that has never been convicted of any crime but I did a lot stupid stuff during my freshman year of college.
I began playing minor poker with friends very so often. Then gradually it became an addiction to a point where I would steal, borrowed and sold things to obtain gambling money. It was estimated that I lost around 10k during the 10 months gambling spree.
However, I was fortunate enough to turn my life around and repay all the debts and went back to school.
I'm now about to receive a Degree in Criminal Justice and would soon apply for a Police Department.
If I was honest and told the truth on the background investigation, would this gambling problem still be a factor of disqualification? Or would they consider it as a huge mistake and consider me?
