I would like to find a single gang wall plate that allows for the pass-through of several audio/video cables from the open wall cavity behind the drywall, to connect with the individual components located in the room. The opening in this wall plate should be covered with nylon bristles, or "brushes" that close off the unused area where cables do not pass through the opening. The brushes are necessary in order to hide the opening in the wall, as well as to prevent air flow into or out of the wall cavity where the cables are run. I have seen this type of wall plate for sale in the UK, but it does not match the rectangular style of a single gang box mount that is used in the USA.
