you want to move to a new town? Like, what things would you be able to keep and what things go away?
 
You and 3 others can share the same town on one save file. But if you want a brand-new town, unfortunately, you're going to have to erase your current one. Everything will go away. Every item, every upgrade, and all of the relationships between the townspeople.
