I have to pick a topic for my final paper and project for an Education, Culture and Society class... and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? It's an education course, but I'm a psych major and would probably like to focus on something interesting within that scope. For the final project, we need to go into detail about specific aspects of the general topics. I just can't decide what to choose and was wondering what other people might think would be an interesting topic?
The professor gave examples of potential topics including: homeschooling, student violence, drop-outs, teacher respect in our culture, and bilingual education. However, I'd like to do something original.
(Straight from the syllabus, broad topics we've covered in the class are:social and cultural diversity, multiculturalism, democratic values, learning communities, technology in education, ethics and the law, student diversity, multiple and emotional intelligences, national standards and testing, the development of curriculum, and selected issues in American education.)
