Iphone 1st generation, smashed the screen, please help?

I've had my iphone for about a year and a half and the warranty has run out. I dropped it and the screen has smashed but the phone is still touch responsive and works in every other way apart from the glass has shattered. Has this happened to anyone and what did you do? I'm looking for good companies to either send the phona away to to be repaired or where i can buy spare parts. What part would i get? Please only say the site if you've bought/sent to them before and they are safe.
