Iphone wont connect to netgear wifi?

Hi guys I have an iphone 3gs and I’m trying to connect it to my netgear wifi system.
It’s a WNR3500 model, running on version V1.0.15_15_1.0.15 and whenever I select network “Netgear” I am prompted to type in my password (which I am typing correctly) and it says “cannot connect to network Netgear”. The only way I get it to connect is to totally disable wifi security settings. Any ideas?
 
Restart your Internet!! Like if you have that box that comes with wifi than it should work!! It happened to me!!! I have AT&T uverse!!! Mine is iphone4 I'm sure they all work the same
