iPod is frozen, computer doesnt recognize it?

So I got a new iPod Nano 8g for Christmas and I plugged it into my computer and it was working fine till today I plugged it in and then it said I needed to restore all my defaults. Since I'm crazy, I decided to unplug my iPod without ejecting it. Now the screen is frozen saying "Connected Eject Before Disconnecting" even when I try to turn it off it doesnt do anything. Then when I plugged it back in my computer didn't recognize it and it says no drivers were installed for it. What do I do? I'm very upset about this and just want it to work again.
