iPod Touch: Apple Mobile Device Service Not Started.?

Everytime I connect my iPod touch it says "Apple Mobile Device service no started." I went to the Apple support and I already uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it. I went to the services and tried to start AMDS and it was not colored therefore i could not start it. Help, please?!?!
 
Try rebooting and then going into services and starting it again. Be sure that it starts on startup.

If not, switch it so it does and then you should reboot again,
