Ipod Touch Fring Wi-Fi internet anywhere?

ok so im getting an ipod touch because iphones cost a lot of money, but i read up on this app called fring, where you can call and text someone while your in a wi-fi area (if you have an account they set you up with a number)


but then the only reason a ipod doesn't have internet anywhere is because it doesn't have either Edge or a 3G network, but since you can use a Fring in a wi-fi area how come they can't make an app that will give you a signal so you can have internet anywhere?

Also is there an app (jail broken or not) that you can use anyone's wi-fi without the password?

Fring does not allow you to have wifi connection wherever you are. You must be inside a wifi connection to be able to use the application. I suggest that you use an app called Infinite SMS. I have the app on my ipod touch and it works great for SMS inside a wifi area and only costs a dollar.
