[iPod Touch] pink code/lines on startup? help please?

This morning I turned on my non jail broken 2g ipod touch and plugged it into my computer, i went away had a shower, got ready for school etc and came back to find my ipod screen still had the apple logo and strange pink code or lines on my screen. It took me 3 resets to get it back to the icon screen.
What is this, why did it appear?
What are your thoughts on this?

I also think it's your computer, if this keeps happening , also when you just restart your ipod , resetting the ipod touch software might help.
