I'm looking to get a new bike to get around (I'm not a racer or anything like that) and I'm looking at an offer for a Trek 4500 Alpha for $500. I'm curious about its weight (I live on the second floor of an apartment building) and overall impressions. Anyone have any thoughts?
The seller says it's registered at Tri-sport for life-time tune up and adjustments. Also, Upgraded seat, petals, crank, and handle bar extensions. Extra clean not a scratch on it. Is it still NOT a good deal?

i think you should buy it for $400 or $450,don't be in hurry think well all the best

Sounds an OK deal to me.
Happy cycling
Trek is best, I own 3

I will weigh much the same as any other mountain bike.
I regularly carry/lift my Trek 6500 ( with saddle bag, lights, mudguard, etc ) over fences.
But carrying it stairs would not be much fun.

No you should be able to buy that bike for around $350 look on ebay for a 4600 it has some improvements. It is not the lightest bike, I sold mine for $300 but it was well used.
