is avi. format can play in Promac DvD?

First, you will have to look up what file formats your DVD player supports. It may only play DVDs and not a files on a data disk. It may play them on a CD-R but but on a DVD-R...etc.
Second, AVI is a wrapper so who knows what kind of codec it actually uses. In any case, you should get a program like handbrake and convert it to something your DVD player supports.
