It depends on where you play indoor soccer. Some locations have a wall around the field, making it possible for you to play off the wall, which adds a new twist. The wall also keep the balls in play so the game is more continuous.
Other locations have a wood floor. Balls roll a lot faster on wood than on turf, so this type of game will demand greater technical ability than outdoor soccer.
Most indoor fields are significantly smaller than outdoor fields. With a more compact field (even with fewer players), the game is faster due to the high pressure of having defenders so close to the ball all of the time.
The teams I coach play indoors during winter months and really enjoy it. I find that they really improve their technique and learn how to think faster, which helps their outdoor game.
