It depends on where you play indoor soccer. Some locations have a wall around the field, making it possible for you to play off the wall, which adds a new twist. The wall also keep the balls in play so the game is more continuous.

Other locations have a wood floor. Balls roll a lot faster on wood than on turf, so this type of game will demand greater technical ability than outdoor soccer.

Most indoor fields are significantly smaller than outdoor fields. With a more compact field (even with fewer players), the game is faster due to the high pressure of having defenders so close to the ball all of the time.

The teams I coach play indoors during winter months and really enjoy it. I find that they really improve their technique and learn how to think faster, which helps their outdoor game.

Have fun!

I have been playing plain soccer for 3 or 4 years. And I just got signed up for indoor soccer, it is my first time in indoor soccer. Are they different? Please tell my why so I know what I am in for. Please and Thank You!!!

Really its not that different. I live in near a Fore kicks which has just regular fields but one with boards. The boards is just like putting a wall around a field. This helps because you can hit the ball off the wall and then go around the player. I love indoor soccer! anyways... it also is probably a different way of play. most indoor games are 6vs6 and you probably play 8v8 or 11v11 so that's different

i like indoor soccer a lot
you'll probably like it, i can almost guarantee
