Is it a rule that famous people have to date/marry another famous person?

It's the law. First famous people would marry normal folk and then before you know it any guy can marry all his sisters and brothers and the family pet. Is that what you want?

There's no rule for it. It's just that people tend to be attracted to those they're most around.

There's exceptions, of course. Matt Damon married a waitress with a kid

Sometimes we all make some dumb choices in regardes to our dating lives, but also we usually don't get to choose who we fall in love with, even if you happen to be famous. One example is Matt Damon, his wife was of no famous standing before getting married to Matt.

No, nobody should be able to tell you who to date/marry, unless your choice violates statutory rape or incest laws.

yes they do. but some of the reason why celebrities marry other celebrities is for money reasons, so that it will be less likely for a pre-nup to be necissary.

No that's not the rule. Celebrities date other celebrities because they know what it's like to be in their position, they know what it's like to have people wondering about their personal life and have people surrounding them everyday and every where they go and just all of that stuff. Celebrities are like normal ordinary people they just don't really trust dating others because they could be using them to get their money or attention. You never really know who to trust now these days. Most singers are willing to date a fan they just want them to treat them normal and not scream in their face every second lol. There are celebrities that aren't dating celebrities such as Hilary Duff she's married to a hockey player, Chad Michael Murray just got engaged to this girl he met on 'One Tree Hill' but she was an extra not a famous actress, there's Matt Damon. There's many. If you have connections there is a chance of them dating you. It isn't a rule they just choose to do it.

well, we do like people who have our unique interests in common and being around people who understand what we're going through firsthand.
