My friends always look at the most disturbing shock sites such as 1 man 1 jar and 1 man 1 stump (i must admit i have taken part in the viewing and can't say i didn't have a few chuckles) and i was just wondering, is this normal behaviour for teenage guys to be doing?

Yes, well depending on what you feel comfortable with, they are shocking, and if you want to be shocked go ahead. I have seen 1guy and jar. thats probably one of the worst.
But as long as you don't see yourself dong it theres no harm in watching
