Is it OK to mix good quality oil at a ration of 40:1 in a 250 two stroke dirt bike?

The guy that owned it before me said that what it is jetted to. The owners manual says 32:1 though. Please let me know. 97 CR250
 
I have always used Yamalube mixed 40:1 and have never had an engine seize due to lack of lubrication
