I am currently with sprint and their service is terrible. All the other cellphone providers already have 4g in my area (Detroit, MI) except for sprint. I don't mind that except for the fact that their 3g speed is as fast as my parents old dial-up internet they had 20 years ago...........Any suggestions??

If you've entered into a one- or two-year contract and choose to terminate or cancel your service before your contract ends, you will be charged an early termination fee of up to up to $350/line for Advanced Devices & up to $200/line for all other devices. No early termination fee applies for cancellations in compliance with,

Wait for an upgrade, I guess?

Call them and tell them that their service in your area is terrible.

Also, have in mind that you always have the first 30 days to decide whether or not you intend to keep them.

Sprint's Tech Support (where your call most likely be transfered to) will probably give you quite a turn around at first stating they must submit a tech case. If it's too much money and/or you dont wish to pay the cancellation fees then I would patiently wait for the results. Chances are it still won't work and you'll have a more valid reason to cancel and for them to adjust the fee since you already gave them a chance to work on your situation.

And remember, don't be rude when you call in. Be nice but persistant at the same time.

Good luck.

Not much you can do about the 4G, but Sprints coverage in Detroit is very good, you should have your phone checked. As far a canceling a contract for free.....it wouldn't be much of a contract if you could just do that, would it?
