I got a Razr V3m about 2 years ago or more, and the service has since been turned off for about that time. I am wondering, since AT&T sells the exact same model phone, is it possible to reactive the phone with an exisiting AT&T plan?

Verizon Wireless= CDMA/WCDMA

AT&T= GSM/3G/UMTS

Verizon Wireless phones are "registered" to the network.

AT&T phones bought from AT&T are locked to accept only AT&T sims BUT if you have an unlocked GSM phone, you can use an existing AT&T sim right away.

Simply said, AT&T phones are incompatible with Verizon Wireless and Verizon Wireless are incompatible with AT&T (except the Storm if bought unlocked)

No, t hey may have the same phone, but it's different technology. Verizon doesn't use SIM cards, so it's not possible to unlock their phones. at&t hones you can unlock, to work with other carriers that take sim cards.

No sim= can't unlock.
