Is it strange if a Christian is friends with a Satanist?

they were best friends before the one became a Satanist. they lost contact for several years but became friends again.
does it matter or not?
 
can a christian be friends with a jew? yes, even though jews believe that jesus was a false messiah.

besides, the majority of satanists are atheistic and thus don't venerate satan but the rather the spirit of liberty and rebellion
 
Well, maybe the Christian friend hopes that the other will repent of his/her satanism.
 
I have been friends with Jews, pagans, Buddishts, and even a shinto couple in my life. I do not have a problem with their faiths as long as they don't put down my strong Christian faith.
 
I am a Wiccan Witch and my husband of like 30+ years is a Catholic. So a Christian who is friends with a Satanist is fine too. There should be more friendships like that and there would probably be a lot less hate in the world.
