Is it worth getting a psp right now if the psvita will be coming out next year?

Like I have to ride the bus everywhere I go and its really annoying and boring and I'm wondering if in the short term if getting a psp will help me out till the psvita comes out. It takes me a good 2 hrs to get home from school when it comes to the buses (since I have to wait about 30 minutes at a stop between two buses) and if you think it is, would it be better to get the pspgo or the psp3000? As of now I'm only downloading games off of psn (I have resident evil 1-3 and final fantasy 7 downloaded) and wondering if I should just get the pspgo used since I don't plan on buying any psp game disks since once the vita comes out I want to download what I have bought and put onto the vita.

If you can afford to do so, yes.

I have both a PSP-3000 and PSP Go but love the latter more due to its in-game pause feature and ability to no longer need fragile UMDs.

Battery life is equal to previous models too.

You can pick up a brand new PSP Go for $200.00; my Pearl White one came with 3 free games.

pspgo is better than psp 3000 as it will keep you entertained for a lot of time with its dual screen with one touch screen. It had an offer with it which was free 10 latest games. But it isn't worth the money.
Instead you can buy yourself a nice android phone like samsung SII which has the graphics almost the same as a psp. So wait till the pspvita is out. It has loads and loads of new features and other stuff in it. So it is worth the wait.
