Is Mozilla Firefox Faster Than Internet Explorer And Safari?

Is firefox the fastest? If so, is there an explanation that i will understand(im ok with computers but not great). Also, what is so special about firefox 3 and when is it coming out?

I don't think faster.. just different features and has better compatibility in my opinion. Firefox 3 just has different features and what not.

Yes I love it because if it has a problem and closes or your computer shuts off, the next time you click on it it will say restore old session or start new session. very convenient.
