Is riding my bike 11 miles a day (on weekdays) a good cardio workout? will...

...I lose some lbs? Im Male 24, 6'0" 225 lbs. ive started riding my bike to work which is about 2 miles, on the way home I take a longer route, but I also ride up and down the beach a few times before actually heading home which in total including my ride home is about...9 miles that's a total of 11 miles 5 days a week not including my bike rides on the weekends (which distance varies on weekends)...

Would you say this is a good distance? I've also started eating healthier and smaller portions?
I try to keep my calories at no more than 2000 daily and little amounts of Carbs, and sugars...With 11 miles 5 days a week am I headed in the right direction?

FYI: When I hit 200lbs im going to start lifting weights?

Sounds like youre definitely going in the right direction.

Just remember that you need carbs to survive. Make sure you're eating an appropriate balance.
