is that alpine type r sub worth the money or any good? car audio poll?

I'm trying to build a decent SPL sound system and I'm done with buying junk as in medium level stuff.

I was looking at the type R sub and its only $200 a piece and looks pretty good, except the shiny look i dont like that BUT

Is this sub a good sub and have you ever had one and liked to tell me something about it ?
