Is the touchscreen on the sony Ericsson vivaz good or bad?

I'm thinking of buying the Sony Ericsson vivaz, however I've recently read a review saying the touch screen is almost impossible to use without a pen. I was wondering...it is really that bad? How does it compare to the iPhone and iPod Touch with sensitivity?

Is there anything else that's good or bad you think I should consider before buying this phone??

I was going to buy the vivaz but I was glad I didn't as the reviews rated the touch screen poor.
