Is there a profanity filter for DVD's on the computer?

There are products such as TV Guardian which use the closed captioning on DVD's to mute the profanity in them. Is there a software or plugin that can do the same thing in a media player?

I use VLC mostly and had hoped to find a filter that works with that.

Clearplay makes a standalone DVD player that links to an online database and filters things based on the timestamp of dirty language. They more than likely have a DVD player application with the same features.
