Is there any way that i can keep limewire from giving my computer viruses?

I wanna install limewire but I dont want it to cause malicious viruses like i have heard it does because my computer has gotten a bunch of viruses before and we just had it completely cleaned out and all. Does anyone know how to keep the computer from getting viruses from limewire

what is frostwire?
 
Your best bet, do not use limewire. So many of the shared files through limewire are riddled with virus's. If you really wanna use a p2p client, I suggest ARES. While yes you can still get virus's,I have seen far less while using it but even so most file sharing is risky. You generally have better success with torrents so you may wanna look into that. Since people will comment if it has a virus and you just avoid. :P

You should download torrents unless they're from reliable sources that have rating systems such as the pirate bay and demonoid
