So this little thought came into my head a couple days ago and ive been wanting to write a book about it. I wanted to know if this is a good start toa story line.
So this girl( ihavent really worked out names yet) has just moved to this small town with her mother. She comes from a big city... somthwre like new york. Her mother and her have driven from this big city to this small town in a uhaul truck. over a course of serveral days so most of their "noncook" food like crackers and poptarts has been eaten up. So as soon as they are sttled in their appartment the mother send the daughter out to buy groceries. the girl talk to her neighbor which tells her to go to this porduce store on "starfire rode" the neighbor tells her to go past the Hatta and Hare ( my book makes some notes to alice in wonderland books) bookshop and into the alendale produce store. so shes on starfire rode and its a nice little street... its sort of a buisness street... there a pizza shop, a rival book shop, and icecream store, and a furniture stor to name a few. so the girl is looking at the signs and looking for the hattah and hare bookshop. and finally she finds it. she desides to look at the display through the window and finds that a 112 year old copy of alice in wonderland is inthe store. she desides to go in, unkowingly why as i explain she hates child stories especially this one because of the cheshire cat. she sees a little old man who is talking to this lady about an old version of grimms story books. the girl then waits until she can talk to the man whos name tage read "Hare" she starts discussing the oricing for the book and deals she could make when a guy, in his 20's walks in. he says : whh on earth would you want to buy that stupid old thing..... the only reason we sell it so cheap is because some kid drew in 3 of the pictures! if you were at all a smart girl youd go to the bookshop down the street! after that he walks behind the couter towards the cahsier thing and takes an apron from the shelf which says Hattah the girl looks in bewilderment as to... why a guy wouldnt want to make profit and get some money. the girl the replies "why would you want send me away knowing id give money to have this book?" he replies " look, hun, im tryna cut you a deal, the guy down the street has a book 3 years older than ours with out and crayon markings on it. its way better." she replies " *laughs* your trying to cut me a deal? i dont think so, id rather have this book than have to pay a hundred dollars more for a book without collerings that is just 3 years older... and probably the same publishing." "dont take this the wrong way but.... i dont think you should be in this store hun. hattahs tryna make you a deal and get you a better book and you keep saying you want hattahs book. well i wont sell it to you" " and why not?1" she replies "because i know some people who know some other people who could get you that book across the street for WAYYYYYY less than what we got it here. trust me... go run a little errand and come back in an hour... ill have your details." "but why?" "why what? im getting you a better deal" "AND WHY?" she asks " do i really need a reason to explain myself to a rpetty girl, i think not... now listen ill sell you me and my fathers book.... but its going to be a bit priceir than the one across the street is after i make arangments." then the girl is befuddled and walks out to the store to run her erands of things and return to the bookshop where as the guy is about to close "you closing?" she asks.. for lunch he replies. want to join me? she replies witht he all classic line of :Are yo mad? he laughs and says...were all mad... i should hope you know that... come and get some pizza with me... we can go over your book destions.. he then smiles and takes grocery bags from her and says ill help you with those. im not going to say anymore... but i will say that he falls in love with her... she falls in love with him and the plot twist is that he has to join the mafia or gang of the town jus to be able to get her a better price for the book. eventually..... he dies... in my 2nd book maybe.
