Isn't that weird that the Christian religions appear to worship against

their own benefit? OK, so... I'm atheist but from what I understand after reading through all the R&S section, it appears to me that the Christian religions are worshiping against their own benefit in the long run? Apparently, the Christians aren't supposed to lust since it's a sin, right? This doesn't make sense to me: if humanity didn't permanently lust for the other gender, there wouldn't be any descendants to perpetuate the Christian religion! So God should actually be happy that people "sin" all the time by lusting and having sex and making babies. That's something I always wondered. So in other words: no lust=no sex, no sex=no descendants, no descendants=death of the religion... Or did I miss anything and is lust OK in certain circumstances or what?
So, Loveflowerh, what you're telling me is that, for a Christian, the only way to have sex without sinning is basically to be raped??? That religion has very interesting values!

Check out a sect called the Shakers. They made great looking furniture, but all took a vow of celibacy. They lasted about a generation and a half.

As I understand most mainstream christian groups, lusting after another's wife, or lusting after another if you have a wife is sinful. As to your mate, the deal is "grow fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth". To some, it's only to reproduce. To others, whoopee.
As for those of the Jewish Faith, see Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: The Kosher Sutra.
