Issues with DivX Plus Web Player?

I recently downloaded a the newest version of DivX Plus Player (Version 8.2.1), and whenever I try to watch videos on sites that host DivX videos i always get a notification saying, "The DivX Web Player could not download the video, please check your internet connection". Whenever I try to watch the videos, there's never anything wrong with my internet connect. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
