Itunes Apps are for only Iphone or Ipad? Or also ipod Touch?

I just ordered my white ipod touch and while waiting for it im looking for cool apps.
But a lot of them say they are for iphone or ipad.
Does this mean it is not for the ipod touch?
Does it specifically have to say for ipod touch?

It will virtually never say: for iPod touch.
Your iPod touch will count as an iPhone not an iPad, so don't worry!

Also, that's so cool how you're getting a white one!

Most of the ones that say iPhone work on the iPod touch, as well. If you look on the left hand side of the iTunes page, in tiny letters it says what products will run the app and very rarely does an app exclude the iPod touch. Some apps need Internet connection, but the iPod touch has WiFi. I have way too many apps on my iPod touch, but I can't make myself stop.
