Jiu jitsu in Mma question?

Bjj is unfortunately too far to be traveling back and fourth from my area so can plain Jiu jitsu replace Bjj effectively in my Mma. Does Jiu jitu teach you a good ground game? on a scale of 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Do they explain the positions ?how to escape? how to reverse etc. ?

Jujutsu should work well as any other grappling game for MMA. BJJ came from judo, which was watered down from jujutsu, and contains much less striking or stand-up. IMHO it is a far better martial art than BJJ which is a great sport. That is why it lends itself to MMA so well, but jujutsu should also be good for that.
