Just what does religion have to do with running government?

Should you vote for anyone that wants to talk about his religion in politics? Which government do they pay attention to? The laws of the USA or the laws of their church?

@Libtard poster. (Most)Religious values are a good thing. Overall religious fanaticism is not a good thing in most cases. Look at the nut bag protesting at cemeteries where U.S. Soldiers are being buried. Truth be told, I would rather vote for someone that has the guidance of a religion than the guidance of nothing. Cheerio.

I would not vote for a religious President.
I would not vote for a black President.
I would not vote for a white President.
I would not vote for an atheist President.
I would not vote for a male, female, or any (fill in the blank) President.

I WOULD vote for a President who happened to be religious, black, white, male, female, whatever.

They are supposed to represent US.
When they start presenting themselves as the first "fill in the blank" President, it's time to vote for someone else.

Dump Unethical, Socialist, and Politically Bigoted representatives in 2012.

America first. That's what this Democrat says.

Religion does not matter, but money is the main thing. You have money you can be some one. you are crook you can be politician. if you are a liar, you got the seat. Politicians are liars. See the history and present politicians.
If you are from Israel, come to the Air port, you will be given great welcome. If you are from Pakistan, oh God, help those Immigration officers, who look at those Pakistanis, like they are thief. If you come from china, you will be asked how much money you have or coming in future, at once you get stamp on pass port.
ALL THIS IS DIRTY POLITICS. This is a part of running Govt. That is why I have written. One day in Canada chinese will bring revolution, if we don't stop their flow here. They are racists more than others. They don't give you jobs in their businesses. They don't welcome you in their restaurants as they welcome their own people. Chinese MP liar and don't want to quit the seat.

The separation of church and state basically prevents the United States from being a theocracy. But that doesn't mean that someone's religious beliefs can't influence his/her politics.

It's their constitutional right to talk openly about their religion if they want and if their religious beliefs dictate their politics. There is no law stopping them from that.

I don't care a persons religious beliefs. I could never vote for somebody who doesn't understand the need for seperation, and quite frankly, the religious nuts are typically the ones doing the nuttiest shiz

I want someone in government that will work for the people, not the church, we have pastors for that.
You do have some preachers that try to run the government unfortunately

Religion itself does not have any thing to with running government, but a person's credibility and character has a lot do with running a government. These traits are found only in a person that believes in the laws set down by his religion and knows and abides by separation of state and religion laws.
