LA fitness SCAM! how can they away doing this stuff?

LA fitness wants to charge me all this fees because i lost my card and they were not able to charge me for three months. I did call and tell them and all they said is call when you get your new card. . I really dont wanna pay them because im going through financial problems and I just want to join a new gym. If you dont pay for one month youre not able to use the gym do why would I pay three months if I didnt use the gym at all and even if I wanted to they would not let me!
I don't know how this county can allowed businesses to get away with things like this. Their costumer service is terrible.
What should I do?
would it ruin my credit if I don't pay?
how bad will it hurt my credit?
I dont' want to ruin it over something stupid like this.
To CANCEL you have to send a letter to corporate office and it could take up to 60 days for them to cancel your account and meanwhile your get charged. come on
I NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT ..MY MEMBERSHIP WAS MONTH TO MONTH
 
Pay them, quit them, then tell everyone not to join them. That's how you strike back
 
You signed a contract. A membership is a contract. If you don't use it for a month, that's your problem. You still owe them. It's like if you bought a ticket to a show or concert and if you didn't go you don't get your money back.
