it's the law n Californi? I have been watching ALL drivers for the past few months. I seem to notice MANY more women holding their cellphones while driving than men. Why is this??
Actually, I do not understand why women wouldn't just use an earpiece. Maybe because it clashes with their make up and jewelry? I, personally, would rather use an ear piece while driving. It's very unsafe to hold the phone, because you can possibly crash, I've seen it hapen.
If I may throw a male perspective in here - as a professional driver, I see a vast amount of drivers of both genders and all age ranges not abiding by the hands free law. The factors are (1) there are not enough officers to enforce the law, which leads to (2) most people ignore this ( and many traffic laws) because they think they will not be cited for the offense and (3) the fine needs to be hefty for a first offense - $300 ? - this would make a statement instead of the current fine ( $50 at last known amount) Thanks for letting me speak my peace :}
