Liberals: why must you rant about people dying whenever someone disagrees with you?

Reduce Medicaid benefits and eliminate waste: POOR PEOPLE WILL DIE!
Reduce welfare benefits and tighten restrictions on who can qualify: CHILDREN WILL STARVE TO DEATH!
Find an alternative to Social Security: OLD PEOPLE WILL DIE!
If you believe 0bamacare will reduce the quality of medical care in the US or you oppose the mandates: THE STREETS WILL BE LITTERED WITH THE BODIES OF THE UNINSURED!

Why can't you discuss an issue without trying to play on guilt? Is it because you know the current liberal agenda is flawed?
 
Policies have consequences in terms of actual human lives. Your inability to recognize that defines you as a blind, insensitive, callous, unthinking right winger.
 
Because these "solutions" are hurting people. Why not keep all the benefits and social security and cut the military budget?
 
So your answer would be, pull the plug on everything...and let people die. I have a conscience, apparently you don't. The issue IS how many people could die, but that fact interferes with your agenda, and limited scope of humanity.
 
Because they believe it is the government's job to provide everybody with life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness... oh ya, and healthcare, money, food, shelter, jobs, a college education.... the list goes on.
 
Yeah, looking out for your fellow citizens is so terrible. I think I'll make like Glenn Beck and instead cry about how those poor corporations are so oppressed.

Why do cons seem so disturbingly eager to throw the sick, elderly, and yes, even children (over 1 in 5 in poverty now) under the bus? Why do middle and working-class teabaggers not see the blatant lies being fed to them by the organizers of the movement, the Koch Brothers, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and others? Yeah great, keep calling for and voting for tax cuts to the wealthy and corporate "job creators," and more deregulation of the financial industry and see where that takes us (since obviously you cons still haven't realized how that all works out).
 
That's what they've been told to squawk whenever anyone disagrees with them. They know they can't win an argument on it's merits, with logic, or with facts. So aside from alarmist talking points and insults, they don't really have much else to argue with. Best just to smile at it, pat them on the head like a mentally handicapped child, and move on.
 
I can see where SOME liberals might seem to scream that poor people will die as a result of conservative policies, but certainly not all of them, and not at all to the degree that you're painting it.Every group has it's nutcases who make the whole group look much worse than they are.

I think it's a valid, valid point to say that as a result of a proposed policy, a lot of poor people, the elderly, and people who are already sick might find themselves in a very bad situation and unable to feed, clothe, and take care of their health anymore. That's a serious problem that needs to be looked at before cutting funding to a bunch of different public services and aid programs.

I agree that these programs need to be made more efficient both to save money and be of the best help to people, but I think that a lot of conservative ideas to cut program funding isn't very well thought-out and doesn't take into consideration a lot of people who depend on those programs ( and not because they're just lazy and hate America).

A small example: the conservative governor here in PA wanted to cut funding to state schools by 50%. It was somehow taken down to only 18%, but as a college student on limited income and with school to worry about, I'm seeing some serious side effects that no one seemed to consider or address: Tutition and fees have gone up over $1000, programs,services, staff, and faculty positions have been cut campus-wide ( loss of jobs, negative impact on students), federal loans and grants for students were cut, and I can barely afford tuition anymore. Many students have had to drop out because they couldn't afford it anymore; now they're in an already terrible job market with a ton of debt on their shoulders. All of this, and the same governor refuses to tax companies coming in from out of state to drill in the Marcellus shale here. Many students are unable to get the services they need, the attention in class that they need, or even go to school anymore at all. There are consequences to cuts, and they need to be looked at seriously.

I notice a lot of conservative counterpoints when trying to discuss an issue focus in on how liberals are just socialists who want to see America fail, that we're lazy and don't want to work for anything, and that we have no morals or values. All of that is untrue and not productive to the discussion. Just because we don't agree on the same way of looking at things doesn't mean we are evil, lazy, ect. It means that we have a different view and you're not bothering to think critically about it. I try to understand conservative points of view and there are some I agree with and others which I strongly do not agree with. I'm sure the same might go for you. We need to be able to talk about issues without bringing our bias, prejudice, and bad attitudes to the table. Generalizing all liberals as ranting about people being killed because "we know our 'agenda' is flawed" isn't going to get anyone anywhere here.
 
What guilt? They're facts..
if you feel no pity for sick/old/poor people, that is fine.
Not all of us have to feel that way.
