If Obama became more like Bush, he would as a result become more like Lincoln.

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus to lock up Southerns. However, the Supreme Court knocked that down, and Congress gave him authorization to do that in a time of national crisis.

Now, if you want to get factual, we can start talking about illegal wire tapping prior to 9/11 and the executive orders that say that the President, the Sec of Treasury, and Sec of State can seize all the assests of anyone who is opposing the war in Iraq. No courts. No law.

Maybe this type of kingship-style of governance is for Republicans.
