Looking for 30th birthday vacation spot driving distance from NJ?

A group of about 5 friends and I are looking for vacation ideas for next year when most of us hit the big 3-0. We'd like to get out of NJ and will have a mix of girls and guys. We'd also like to keep it relatively inexpensive. The Outer Banks was throw out there as a possibility but we are looking for other options as well.

Any suggestions?
 
Inside NJ- Atlantic City or Cape May...thats it for NJ lol.

Go to Myrtle Beach, find a cheap hotel, its great! South Carolina is great! The drive is about 10 hours. We do it all the time (for us it is 12 hours, here on eastern long island)
