Lord of the Rings DVD question?

I can't decide whether I should get the "Lord of the Rings" Platinum Series Special Extended Edition Box-set or I should get them individually... If I get them individually am I missing anything that the box-set offers? Getting them individually is like about 10-20 dollars cheaper :o but I don't wanna miss something, I'm a dork for Lotr :( lol

Note: What I mean by individual is like The Fellowship of the Ring Platinum Series Special Extended Edition

You are essentially describing two of the same thing. It just might be cheaper to buy them individually.
As long the edition you buy says extended edition you won't miss anything.
