Low Oil Pressure, about to stall 92 GMC Sierra.?

I've noticed for a while that my 92 GMC has been having the Check Gages light come on, and when I check the gages, the oil pressure is really low, when ever it hits the red line the check gages light will come on, then it feels like it's about to stall, especially when I am in a driveway and move a couple of feet then switch a gear. Once I put pressure on the gas, the pressure goes back up to regular. There is plenty of oil, and other fluids (i've had it checked by many friends and a menicanch) does anyone know what this could be? BTW, I've also noticed the smell of burnt oil when I get out of the truck, but keep in mind, there is still oil in there. In fact I just had it changed and it is still doing it.
