Majin tantei nougami neuro manga and anime different story lines?

Everytime the anime is different from the manga I watch the anime first and then read the manga story I did this with MTNN because I heard the anime didnt follow the manga story I ve read 20 chapters so far and the anime was just the same till now the only difference is that a little more about neuro is revealed nothing else oh and yakos father murderer but from that on everything was the same
So is the story really different?? or just like the anime just longer?
Ty please dont spoil stuff that wasn't on the anime if the story is different just say about on what chapter it turns different ty^^
My Main Question Is If The Manga Has A Different Story From The Anime Otherwise There Is No Point On Reading It.?!?!?!?

Mangan is similar to the anime at the beginning and several cases are the same. Though they are a little similar. Start from the begining. Or you will have truble to understand later.
