After injuring his jaw and his left knee following a collision with the center field wall, tests show that Kemp didn’t suffer any structural damage. As a result, the star outfielder for the Dodgers will be listed as day to day.
His official diagnosis is general soreness and a bone bruise near his left knee. Considering the alternatives, Kemp and the Dodgers were lucky.
On the season, Kemp is hitting .337 with 17 homers, 54 RBIs and 60 runs. The 27-year-old is now one of the very best players in all of baseball.
