I've been on the birth control ortho tricyclen for almost 3 years now....I am in the middle of my cycle (expected period is in 2 weeks) and i have been experiencing some small cramping....last week (Feb. 4) I experienced a small episode of diarrhea (it was just one time) and I take my pills faithfully at 9am.... i was wondering could that (diarrhea)cause the cramps or is this just normal for the birth control pill to have mid cycle cramps....... thanks in advance........

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. I have been on the pill for almost a year, expecting my period in a little less than a week, and am experiencing some cramping, abdominal pain, and little bit of diarrhea. I guess that could be normal since my placebo pills start in about 4 days but I usually don't experience this.

I haven't been getting much sleep the past 3 or 4 days due to school work, etc. and haven't been eating well. Those are the likely causes of my cramping, etc. but since it is irregular for me to experience this I wanted to research it.

Lots of forums say all of these are signs of pregnancy but I haven't missed my pill at all. Also, my husband and I were intimate Sunday night and he ejaculated but was not inside of me, only near me. So while I suppose it is possible that I could be pregnant, it is very unlikely.
