You just totally disrespected me. I am a boxer and I am here to tell you that you are 100% WRONG! Boxing is not easy at all it takes hard work and dedication. If you think some average joe can just hop in the ring and survive you got it all twisted. I do agree that the UFC is on the rise but the truth is that they do not get paid half as much as a Pro Boxer does.
 
Boxing fans, with all do respect, you guys must admit that MMA is getting more popular, and will eventually swallow Boxing. I mean, honestly, boxing is nothing more but a bunch of two tall or small guys (depending on the division they fight in, but it doesnt really matter) who try to give each other a sever concussion by jumping in that ring like a bunch of monkeys. Like seriously, what are they? Anyone could box. Put on a pair of gloves and hit somebody in the head. Wow, that's really impressive. Now look at the UFC. The guys over there not only can actually fight - they can also make good kicks, wrestle well and submit their opponents. They are stronger, faster and skilled more. Im making a statement here, not asking a question. Because from what i read, boxing fans keep writing a lot of trash in the Martial Arts section without even having a clue about MMA. Boxers are just guys who take 'roids and have big biceps and who can hit each other in the head. That's it.
Ive watched boxing before, and i find it lame and stupid. Where is the action? MMA fighters CAN 100% Box anytime, anyday, anyplace.
And as far as Mike Tyson is concerned, the guy needed to bite Evander Holyfield's ear to make himself look better. Result? Made a fool of himself (it happened 12 years ago, its 2009 and people are still laughing at him because of that). So, monkeys, try to pick up better answers next time, alright?
 
Mickey have you ever watched a boxing bout? How can you say that "Anyone could box"? Boxers are masters at the stand-up striking technique, something MMA fighters lack severely. You cannot find me a single MMA fighter who is so refined in his combat utility of the fists/arms that it rivals a boxer's.

Boxing is called the sweet science for a reason.

MMA fighters would kill boxers under MMA rules, boxers would kill MMA fighters under boxing rules. Let's leave it at that.

Sounds valid. But you could take a top U fighter and throw him in a boxing match with a top boxer and he will get pwned and vise versa. Why did you bother stating this? Is no one around for you to talk to? Wait why did I respond? Crap...

Take Mike Tyson in his prime he will beat the hell out of any MMA. And talk about Steroids,dont most MMA Fighters are on roids, cuz i seen tv documentaries about mma fighters. they show themselves using steroids.
Obviously u never boxed before my ur lame statement that boxers only hit each other in the head.i bet u wouldnt say that to a boxer in the face.
