D DonR Member Oct 24, 2011 #2 Have the battery checked to make sure it isn't weak. The starter takes a lot of juice to work, but the lights take much less.

C CournelSanders New member Oct 30, 2011 #4 What method did you use to verify the available cranking amperage of the battery? Was your test simply "the dash lights come on"? Then you are an idiot. Get a jump start and take it to someone who understands electricity 101.
