My 3 years old step-son has foot pain at night.he will cry out in pain for 30 min or so even after I have given him motrin. some nights he will wake up 2-3 times screaming in pain and we will walk around which also seems to help.i have read about growing pain, but it does not seem to fit since its all in his feet and not in his legs or anywhere else. Has anybody had the same experience as mine on his feet? I have taken him to his pediatrician and asked if they could do blood work but they refused and said that they didn't suspect anything that would show up on blood work Please if there is anyone out there that has a smilier experience please respond I cant stand to see my son in pain it just breaks my heart and the lack of sleep is not helping my son, my fiance or me...

That sounds psychological to me, so the doctors are right in saying it wouldn't show up in blood work.

Maybe he just doesn't like sleeping on his own/has night terrors. If this isn't so or you can't work it out by talking to him yourself, then I would recommend taking your son to see a psychiatrist. It is also possible that it may be neurological, if you take your son to see a psychiatrist, they should be able to tell you if a neurologist would be better.

Go to another doctor. I recommend a naturopathic doctor. They cover it from all bases. They will look for nutritional deficiences or food allergies or apply homeopathic remedies, whatever is needed. Google 'American Association of Naturopathic Physicians' to find one in your area.

I don't believe in discounting children just because they're children. If he says he's in pain, he's in pain. There are many physical problems that don't show up through traditional medicine. Naturopaths can help. They've helped me a lot.
