My Action Replay (DSi) is broke?

I know I don't have an actual DSi (Original DS FTW!), but it's been working for me, up until a few days ago. It's been acting a little weird up to the point of it not working at all, me having to take out the AR and put in the game cartridge by itself to boot the game, but nothing strange happened then. Now whenever I put in my AR and it boots the touch screen turns red. I only use it for things I normally can't get in-game (like any event pokemon in any pokemon game). I NEEDZ HELP NAO!!!!! Please?
 
Hopefully I'm getting this right, you want to figure out if the reason the AR doesn't work is because it is/isn't compatible with the DSI?

Well, in my experience of Action Replays, they have a record of randomly failing, sometimes for different reasons. One reason could be that it needs to be charged, so you need to plug it into the computer and update it using the AR Code Manager. Another reason might be you need to restart it manually. Turn it on, and then press and hold Start + Select + L and R. This should perform some kind of reset. If you get no response from either of these, check codejunkies.com for more info on what's wrong, or there is one last thing you can do. Scream your heart out because AR's crash and burn waaayyyy too much. xD
 
Ar dsi not working!

Every time I turn on my AR DSI after 1 second of it being on...TOUCH SCREEN TURNS ****ING RED!!!
